Although this author specifically references the Russian Orthodox Church, most of his points about why "Old Calendar" or "Traditional" Orthodox Churches continue to use the Julian calendar are excellent.

Historically, there were political, economic, diplomatic, and—of course—religious reasons for the gradual (300-year) adoption of the Gregorian calendar. Today, traditional Orthodox Churches prefer adhering to the Julian calendar for spiritual reasons, just as we prefer adhering traditional sacraments, such as baptism by immersion and confession to God in the presence of a priest.
